NSU has a facebook group 'NSU Hockey' that currently has over 200 members. It's a great way to get news and invites to our social events.

What we have planned for the 2013 season so far:

Fitness training - Tuesdays 6.30-7.30pm at the Honey warehouse at 8 Te Kea Place, Rosedale. A personal trainer will run you through speed, agility and strength training. Gold coin donation to attend that can be paid each session or in advance. Suitable for all fitness levels.

Cocktail evening Saturday April 13th 2013 - New to the NSU social calander this will be your first chance to socialise as a club while enjoying a few cocktails/beverages and light nibbles. Fantastic venue right on Murrays Bay Beach. Tickets are only $35 and include 3 cocktails, 2 beers or wines, and light nibbles per person. Friends/Family welcome. Tickets available from Kimmy and Liddy at fitness and turf trainings and at festival weekend.

Scavenger Hunt Saturday 11th April 2013 - Another new event for NSU. All you need is a group of team mates or friends, a car to get around in, 1 camera with a flash between you, a map and a whole lot of energy. Only $10 to enter. Be at the clubrooms ready to go by 4pm.

A Night at the Races Friday 7th June 2013 - A chance to get dressed up, place a few bets, eat a fantastic buffet dinner and raise some money for our club at the same time. Tickets are just $40 and on sale now from Liddy. Friends/Family welcome. Either transfer your $ to 03 0285 0225325 004 with your name and team as the reference or give your $ to Liddy or Kimmy.

NSU Quiz Night Friday 26th July 2013 - This is always an awesome night! Get a table of 8-10ppl together and compete for prizes and bragging rights! This event is held at the North Harbour clubrooms and is $10 per ticket. Tickets available from team managers & committee members or on the door. This is NSU's biggest fundraiser for the year that provides the club with new equipment, uniforms etc so get involved!! Friends/Family welcome.

NSU Prizegiving 2013 - Saturday 28th Sept at Ngatiranga Sports Complex in Devonport. This is a fantastic night and the highlight of the season. Full buffet dinner inc dessert, dj until late and a chance to celebrate both individual and team successes. Tickets are usually $40 but details for this years celebration are yet to be confirmed. Partners, friends and family welcome. Watch this space.

Here's what we got up to in 2012...
Pre-season fitness - weekly runs starting and finishing at the 'Pass n Punt' on the cnr of Constellation and Parkway Dr, Mairangi Bay. To begin with there will be 2.5km, 4km and 6.3km courses to cater for every age and fitness level. This is a perfect way to get your friends and team mates together and get back in shape for the season ahead.

A Night at the Races June 2012 - Over 100 NSU players/supporters got glammed up to enjoy a lovely meal and social atmosphere. It was a chance to mingle with other North Shore clubs such as Mahurangi and Takapuna who also attended and some ppl were lucky and came away with extra cash! This was a wonderful night that was enjoyed by all that attended.

NSU Quiz Night July 2012 - This is always an awesome night! Most NSU teams got a table together and competed for prizes and bragging rights. There were spot prizes, games, some strutting (thanks Hamish) and loads of laughs.

NSU Prizegiving 2012! - Held at the North Harbour Netball Centre. Tickets were $40 and included a full buffet dinner & dessert and dj until late. Most attendees got into the spirit and came dressed in theme which looked awesome. This is a must attend every year!
