Overseas Players
Are you a talented hockey player?
Would you like to spend a season (or more) playing in another country?
NSU is looking for players (and coaches) from outside of New Zealand to play in our teams (across all grades) in upcoming seasons. Our club season runs from March until August each year, with pre-season matches from late February. All matches are played at Crown Relocations Stadium, a truly world-class venue, which played host to the Olympic Qualifying tournament in 2008.
We have previously had successful exchanges with players from the UK, Trinidad & Tobago, and Holland, all of whom have enjoyed their time in our country, and their hockey experience.
What we can offer you:

- the chance to enhance your hockey skills by playing in one of the toughest competitions in New Zealand
- the opportunity to play alongside some current NZ Blackstick representatives
- assistance in obtaining the appropriate visa/permit to travel to New Zealand
- assistance with finding accomodation and work for your stay
All interested persons must remember that hockey in New Zealand is an amateur sport, so we are unable to pay you play. Some compensation may be available for suitable coaching candidates. For more information, please contact president@northshoreunited.org.nz
